The partnership of WIN project has successfully completed the development of the 1st<\/sup> deliverable of the project PR1-State of the Art on Workplace Innovation.<\/strong><\/p>

Each partner country conducted an extensive desk and field research<\/strong> to define the concept of \u201cworkplace innovation<\/strong>\u201d and distinguish the term from \u201cinnovation<\/strong>\u201d in general.<\/p>

Workplace Innovation (WI)<\/strong>, a concept that is still in its infancy, is described as “a combination of structural and cultural practices that allow employees to engage in organizational change and renewal\u201d <\/strong>(Oeij et al., 2016).<\/p>

The report<\/strong> contains other relevant information regarding existing strategies<\/strong> and successful case studies<\/strong> that were implemented in SMEs<\/strong> for the establishment of the Workplace Innovation Manager.<\/p>

The most difficult part of this report was to raise awareness and engage micro and medium enterprises<\/strong> to answer our questionnaire, understand the importance of a Workplace Innovation Manager<\/strong> position in their companies and persuade them that this time investment will be worthwhile in the long term. Their input however was rather significant in our case since they constitute project\u2019s primer target audience<\/strong>.<\/p>
